Go Daddy offers both Unix- and Windows-based hosting plans, with a choice of three different packages in each: Economy, Deluxe and Unlimited.
All hosting plans offer autoresponders, email forwarding, spam and virus protection, fraud protection, email sender ID authentication, “Light” WebMail, a file manager, site statistics, 290-plus greeting cards, a Getting Started Guide, an option for add-on SSL encryption, site statistics, support for FrontPage and credits for Google AdWords and Microsoft adCenter. They also come with free add-on options for Vanilla forum, YetAnotherForum, Gallery image gallery, BlogEngine.Net, dasBlog, Serendipity, WordPress, ZenCart, DotNetNuke 4.0, Joomla!, advanced guestbook and paid add-on options for ColdFusion.
Additional features with Unix hosting include Server Side Includes, paFileDB, a premium add-on option for SQLyogEnterprise, SSH access, cron jobs, osCommerce and support for PHP 4, PHP 5 and custom PHP.ini/PHP5.ini. The Unix plans also comes with 4images, Coppermine and Gallery photo galleries; pre-installed ImageMagick; Noah’s Classifieds; OpenX advertising; Drupal, PostNuke and other content management applications; project management applications; Web Calendar; WordPress; wikis; and other applications.
Features offered only with Windows plans include support for ASP, ASP.NET v 1.0/2.0/3.5, ASP.NET AJAX, and PHP 5 (Windows IIS7 only). The Windows options also come with MS Access and free pre-installed applications for MS IE Web Controls, WSE 2.0, ASPUpload 3.0, ASPJPEG 1.4, GUIDMaker and ASPCrypt, as well as premium add-on applications for WISE-FTP and Community Server.
Both the Unix and Windows Economy plans come with 10 gigabytes or disk space, 300 gigabytes of bandwidth, support for unlimited domains and external domains, and support for up to 25 sub-domains. Also included are 100 email accounts with 100 megabytes of mailbox space, 50 FTP accounts and 10 MySQL databases with database backup and restores.
Windows-based Economy hosting also offers one 200-megabyte MS SQL database with database backup, restore and publishing wizard.
Go Daddy’s Deluxe hosting packages offer 150 gigabytes of disk space and 1500 gigabytes of bandwidth, along with 500 email accounts, 500 megabytes of mailbox space, 50 FTP accounts (Windows IIS7 only; 1 FTP account for Windows IIS6), 25 MySQL databases with backup and restore, and support for unlimited domains, sub-domains and external domains.
Deluxe Unix-based hosting features support for Perl with FASTCGI, Python CGI, Java, Ruby CGI and Ruby on Rails with FASTCGI. The Deluxe Windows plan includes two 200-megabyte MS SQL databases with database backup, restore and publishing wizard.
The Unlimited hosting plans come with unlimited disk space and bandwidth, along with 1000 email accounts, 1000 megabytes of mailbox space, 50 FTP accounts (Windows IIS7 only; 1 FTP account for Windows IIS6) and support for an unlimited number of domains, sub-domains and external domains. Other features include 50 MySQL databases with database backup and restore, and an SSL certificate.
In addition, Windows-based Unlimited hosting includes three 200-megabyte MS SQL database with database backup, restore and publishing wizard.
